Monthly Meetings, Shadowing, Interviewing, Training, Counseling, Tours, Study Groups, and Zoom/Conference Calls with Physicians, Dentists, Faculty, Students, etc.

PAUSE has some unique qualifications of being positioned to address the needs of most students entering the professions of
medicine and dentistry.
Students should have demonstrated a strong interest, aptitude, and the potential in becoming a physician or dentist.
Special lectures are given by experts in the various fields of medicine and dentistry in person and through conference calls.
Students are exposed to legends, mentors,and obtain buddies in the program.
There is a continual push to increase the number of individual, community, school, and corporate partners in PAUSE.
Students tour health facilities such as:
- Grady Memorial Hospital
- Emory University College of Medicine
- Morehouse School of Medicine
- Columbus Regional Medical Center
- U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
- SW Nephrology Dialysis Clinic
- The HEAL Clinic

Premedical/Predental Requirements
Prospective Premedical and Predental students must be enrolled in an accredited college or university or be the graduate of one. Suggested courses include:
- Biology with Lab (one year)
- Biochemistry
- General Chemistry with Lab (one year)
- Organic Chemistry with Lab (one year)
- Physics with Lab (one year)
- Calculus
- English – Not Writing Courses (one year)
- Humanities/Social Sciences (one year)
- Psychology
- Sociology
- Anatomy
